Re: ok cub co2 engine size
Technically speaking, its a motor, not an engine. That should stir things up!

Re: ok cub co2 engine size
Pi times radius square times stroke will give you displacement, as you know. Measuring bore would be simple enough. measuring the stroke would be difficult, as cylinder head does not appear to be removable. What a sweet little motor! Have you run it yet?

Re: ok cub co2 engine size
i need to find a 8g co2 cartridge for it, the cylinder head is not removable as the cylinder head is part of the cylinder as one whole piece

Re: ok cub co2 engine size
Mitch,
Did you just unscrew the cylinder by hand? I haven't tried to disassemble mine yet, but I would love to check out the inards.
Be careful when you run it as your reassembly might leave the cylinder in such a position that the ball check valve is almost always pressed out of its seated position. As stated, this might cause a frozen piston upon charging. Be sure to start high and screw it down only a quarter-turn at a time. I'm sure you already know this, though. It's just a thought...

Re: ok cub co2 engine size
3 in 1 is 20 weight. Way thicker than Singer or any other sewing machine oil.

But it's still motor. Its motive force is created outside the machine.mitchg95 wrote:good point, still there is a Piston, Crank case, Crankshaft, and Cylinder

Mitch,
Remember that you can also use air tool oil or even light bicycle oil. If you are looking for the sewing machine oil, I found mine at Jo-Ann's Fabric and Craft store.
Good luck,
KP

Harbor freight has some air tool oil at a very decent price. I use it along with sewing machine oil as after run for my Coxes. Sewing machine oil is supposed to very light and slippery opposed to other oils.
Re: ok cub co2 engine size
Couple of comments:
I think the OK CO2 motor was introduced in ~1951, perhaps the '61 is a typo.
The fins are for heating, otherwise the engine would freeze up (literally).
Mine, unfortunately, does not have the cartridge holder.
