Pitch fork question
Have any of you used (successfully or otherwise) a 2440 TeeDee tank mount
with a Norvel?

No, but the other way around works great.

Re: Pitch fork question
NORVEL produced their integral tank/mount in several flavors. The one jsesere posted is the most common. It usually shipped with two pickup tubes, one that pointed straight back to the lower righthand corner for C/L (there was a dimple in some backplates for it) and one that had a curve to point down to the lower center for R/C. Some tanks were fitted with a spring loaded air release valve for filling and some had an extension on the rear to increase fuel capacity from .5 oz to 1 oz.
As shown, the beam mounts would fit the TD's without alteration and the 4 mounting holes had the same pattern as the lugs on the backplates of the Bee's. It was a good marketing ploy on NORVEL's part since they could sell decent tanks for COX enthusiasts and a COX Bee could be replaced simply by bolting the tank into the existing holes in the firewall then adding a NORVEL, which is exactly what I did on my Honker.
Occasionally, you would see what appeared to be a piece of curved dried grass in the tank, but it was actually a piece of glue fillet that had popped loose from where the tank back was glued to the tank body.

Re: Pitch fork question
Although the mounting holes are the same, the NORVEL crankcase is just a bit wider. You can use the Cox mount if you file the top 1/16" a little bit wider.

Cheer Guys
I was just being a cheapskate bum cos I've got a td mount and my N@rv*l is itching to go in summat.
That said, everything is right on the TD as per pick up and pressure feed.
