Cox Engine of The Month
How much would you pay?

How much would pay for a Cox .09 or .15 piston reset tool shipped to your door?
How much would you pay?
Looking to see where the market value is on custom Cox .09 and .15 piston reset tools? Knowing that it takes me ~2 hours to make and finish a tool set what would you pay for a .09 or .15 piston reset tool?
Keep in mind .09 reset tools do not come up very often on ebay and I believe .15 reset tools were never made.
Below is a picture of the tool:

That looks super!
I just replied to your PM. To answer your question though I would pay more for a .15 one than a .09 because as you said .15's do not exist.
Your time is valuable, perhaps once you fabricate a few it will go quicker.

Here is a pic showing the size comparison of the 09 reset tool that I make and the Cox 09 tool.

That looks much more robust than the Cox tool. I have some .09's that will benefit for sure. Quality workmanship!

Re: How much would you pay?
They look really great. Perhaps you could list one on eBay with the minimum amount you would accept to see what you get.
Re: How much would you pay?
Wow, that looks awesome!
If you were to sell them, especially on eBay, I would suggest using hex stock for the tool. People are set in their ways about how these should look, even if it will be the exact same functionality.

I need to find hardened hex stock. I am using grade five .5" bolt for the reset tool. I may get a gun bluing kit to see if I can protect the bare metal.
Looks like the poll is all over the place. Seriously $5......

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. The material itself costs more than $5

True...but your poll should have STARTED at $25. I mean, really, a precision tool that is otherwise unavailable! I'm certainly no machinist, but I know enough about scratching metal to know that the top end price is still a deal.
I'm in for $30 if you decide to make these...
P.S. You can save the bluing on mine...this sucker will get put to work.
