Yes, I've had similar effects when the camera flash decided to go off even though the sun was shining!

What kind of needle valve is that? Looks sorta like a Super Tigre assembly.

Yep, Wilf hit it on the head. Daylight exposure
time with flash.
The prop is a Cox grey 4.5-2. Cool, but not ice.
Glad you guys liked the shot. Taste for the unusual-like me.
George, the backplate is an old KustomKraftmanship with
128 tpi needle and collet lock. I wish there were more of
them around.
