Cox Engine of The Month
Babe Bees to swap
Babe Bees to swap
I have far too many Babe Bees, so here are five of various ages I'm offering for trade, I'm looking to swap them for any NON-COX engines of any size.
All five are complete, (apart from No. 2, which is missing it's prop screw), all rebuilt with the usual bits, all have working glowheads, and all have been bench run. They are NOT in collectors condition, as you can see, but are usable engines if you want one to fly.
I'll swap on a one-to-one basis, or, if you have something really interesting to trade, I'm prepared to swap a number of them for it.
Engines offered to me do not even have to be runners if I am interested in them.
Engine no. 1 is a bitsa which I assembled from various parts I had, and has an origional 8cc tank. others are completely origional.
I do NOT want OK Cubs, unless they are in the larger sizes, and I would swap all of these Bees for a Frog 80 or DC Merlin, or any other diesel (not Cox conversions)
If you want more detailed photos of any of them, or want to ask anything, drop me a PM and I'll get back to you.
So, come on folks, what am I offered?
Wilf

Re: Babe Bees to swap
No.5 is now gone.
Addition, I'll trade one or more for a Black Widow style METAL backplate (No vents) the bent lug on mine finally broke off!
Or, if you have one to sell, give me a price

Re: Babe Bees to swap
I'll trade the remaining engines for working .049 glowheads, new or used, at the rate of 2 heads = 1 engine.
I'm also open to other offers, try me, these engines have to go!

So 2 glowheads for an engine with a glowhead?Ivanhoe wrote:I'll trade the remaining engines for working .049 glowheads, new or used, at the rate of 2 heads = 1 engine.

How about 1 glowhead and you keep the glowhead off the engine?

Well, I was assuming folks would want a complete engine! I suppose it makes more sense to keep the engines and use the heads off them!
But then, if you insist on logic, you've come to the wrong person..............!!!
