Re: .020 engine wrench
I don't see this lack of cool. You are offering a source of aftermarket parts I offered OEM. 2 completely different things.
Re: .020 engine wrench
Tom,
That really depends on one's own level of ethics.
Neither Matt nor I posted into your wrench thread, offereing to sell a like item. That's your baby and, unless we have something constructive to add, we stay out of it.
There is a difference between someone on this board pointing out that there are alternatives and someone with a vested interest (read: a vendor) subverting an attempt by a colleague to showcase his/her wares.
There are no written rules against what you did but if you look at my and Matt's posting history you will find that we both don't post (sales offers) into threads where the other has already posted an offer to sell. By the same token we also refrain from doing so to private sellers unless a potential buyer explicitely posts that the offering is not what he/she is looking for.
Again, there are no written rules, just courteous behaviour towards colleagues.
So, yes, I stand by my comment but we are talking a wrench here so no biggee

I kind of missed the "interaction" the last couple of months
Re: .020 engine wrench
Ok, both of you are selling the same item that performs the same function. Tom, yours appeals to someone who is a collector and is after an actual Cox made wrench as well as to someone who is just looking for one to use. Bernie, yours appeals to someone is after one to use as well as a collector who collects everything Cox related (aftermarket or not, just like those Kavan tank extenders, DDD Cranks and diesel heads and Tatone mufflers...)

Bernie I can see that you would challenge my ethics if you STARTED a thread and I butted inn to offer my stuff for sale there but this is not the case.
A person requested a part its fair game if 10 people want to offer a man a wrench.
subverting an attempt by a colleague to showcase his/her wares.
It wasn't subversion Bernie Loose the ego it was giving the man options Jeez!

Bernie also you're picking fights because no matter how rotten you act people will still love/stand/stand up for you. Please listen to the song (Celebrity by Brad Paisley) Grow up if you have issues Email me don't cry in public.

Grow up.
Grow up? Me grow up??? Oh, good grief. No, never. That would take all the fun out of life
Re: .020 engine wrench
That's it Bernie!! And remember I spent a bunch of time finding stuff 4 your collection. I did it cuz I like you. It really was nothing malicious with the wrench
I accept your implied apology.
You know, you`re really good at evoking feelings in people with a few simple words. Have you ever tried your hand at writing?

Re: .020 engine wrench
I am cognizant that you went to the trouble to find listings for my collection; some which I bought and am truly grateful for your help.
And, no, I never implied or thought that your posting came from a position of malice. You were simply trying to further your sales ..... but .... well ... let's just drop it
I did once start a book but never finished it; little quirks in life got in the way
