Any reason for it to be cox.
A Norvel AME would be awesome.
Or just mod a tee dee.

Did you see the thread I started last month about rebuilding the Black Widow following Paul Gibeault's mouse racing article. His article is stickied at the top of Cox discussions.

Re: speed motors, how to do it
If you're looking for a speed plane, forget the Pacer. It's too big and really better suited for a .061 or .074. The Falcon is a great flying plane, but it falls in between a trainer and sport plane. The third choice (GLH) is quick --- drop all the garbage on the bottom --- you don't need wheels. I would also be inclined to do away with the laminated 1/8" balsa and plywood and just stick with 1/8" balsa or even 3/32" balsa. Keep it super light and it will be fast.
Speed
clspeed.com has what you want. There is a plane called White Kight that uses Cox speed pan. Either TD .049/ Space Hopper or if you are serious CZ modified .049. The record with this plane and CZ .049 is over 140mph. That is smoking for such a little plane. The TD could never get to this speed no matter what was done. Plans are available from Howard Doering the designer of such plane. I don't have any info but join speed forum.

For me, in lots off of eBay.
Same here, I wish they still made them.
Speed
Most good sized Rc clubs hold contests during the year. Most have swap meet section as it draws many different folks to contest. Props are let go cheap and never know what you will find. Many are going electric and two stoke stuff is going cheap. Some guys think they have gold others are far more reasonable. There is allways that one good item you will find at great price. Sometimes you just have to get off your butt and seek. Online is fine, but swap meets are real deal for bargains.

I agree Dan,
Swap meets are where it's at for bargains! Great deals and you have actual "hands on" with the items.
