Sometimes you wonder..................!
I bought this OK Cub .049A off Ebay, this was the picture on EBay...........
The engine arrived this morning, and guess what?................
Oh yes, they shipped the lump of wood with it! Now I don't mind paying shipping costs, but really!! I got a lump of firewood from the USA!!!

Maybe they didn't know how to use a screw driver Kinda like that twin cylinder that they wouldn't take the tank off, which sold for ~$150, and was just a conversation piece as it wouldn't run.

Very true, at least they can say that the item exactly matched the description!
I wonder if I can put it back up for sale as a piece of well travelled, VINTAGE firewood?

BUT WAIT!
Consider the modeling uses for that block of imported wood! It'd make a excellent body for a "prop rod". You could do it up like Fred Flinstone's car the "Flintmobile"! !
YA BA YA BA DOO, Wilma!

Or, I could throw it in the bin, which is where it's gone!

I'll have you know it was very well packed, in a box about 4 times as large as it needed to be!

I'm surprized it made it past customs. Most goverments are on the look out for invasive insects. I mean it could very well have the larve of the dreaded American Girl Cootie hiding in it.

$11.60, which is around about the average cost to get an engine here from the US, luckily the wood was not heavy!

Probably because it's been drying since that engine was built!

All wood exported or imported needs to be heat treated. But I think in this case castor soaked wood will keep the bugs away. It looks like a piece of spruce, pine or fir by the end grain. could be part of a 2x4 or a 2x6.

Hey, we could start a new forum "International Wood Lump Collectors" and discuss the latest additions to our collections!

It had certainly been screwed to it for a LONG time, after removing the screws I had to prise the engine off it.
I wouldn't have minded so much if it had been a chunk of decent wood that I could have used for something!
