Help Identifying Vintage 049's
Hello all. I recently came upon an old box of glow engines and parts that I hadn't rummaged through in years. Much to my delight I found a nice little RR1 with the original spinner in fair condition, but am having difficulty identifying some of the other parts, crankcases, etc.
I've searched considerably, both on this site and many of the Cox Engine sites mentioned in these posts, but to no avail. I'm hoping someone here can offer some assistance.
In the pic below are four different crankcases that I have. I'm pretty sure the two on the left are older vintage Baby Bee's, as each of them has only one oil groove for the crank. They use what I would call a "standard" crankshaft as viewed in the pic. I can't identify the two on the right, however. The two on the right use what seems to be an oversize and quite beefy crankshaft, and one of the crankshafts is tapered on the drive end, instead of having splines.
These motors were collected over years by my older brothers, and it's likely that many were product motors from Baja Bugs, Cox Helicopters, and a few others. I was also wondering if they were related to the Killer Bee's.
Essentially, I'm just trying to find out what I have here. I didn't know what I had with the RR1 until considerable investigating. I'll most likely be selling the stuff that is collectible, and for the stuff that's not collectible, well, someone somewhere probably needs the parts.
I'd really appreciate any info or input you guys could offer. Thanks a lot.
My RR1. Not the prettiest example, but I've seen worse!

Re: Help Identifying Vintage 049's
Yes, as a matter of fact I do have that RR1 for sale on eBay. I spoke with a nice gentleman by the name of Leo Squiers who restores RR1's, maybe you guys have heard of him. He's a virtual fountain of information, and he was kind enough to offer advice and help me determine a selling price for the RR1. His suggestion was to set a reserve at $300, but I'm getting feedback that's all over the board on that number.
I obviously don't plan on getting rich with the RR1, I suppose I just want to feel good that I let her go for a fair price. If the reserve is not met, I'm still considering selling it to the highest bidder anyway.
Thank you for the input on the crankcases. Are the thick crankcases considered rare, or in demand in any way? They're pretty neat just because I would think they'd be even more bullet-proof than the Baby Bee cases.
I also have some "W" element glow heads, two vintage Pee Wee 020's and some other odds and ends that I intend to post on this site under an appropriate heading.

The Mouse racers like to use the thick car cases. I don't know if there are any mouse racers left though.
