I have only done two (shown) of the 12 panels necessary to cover the roof boards, the rest will be cut off flush with the boards before the panels are installed. The two already up...don't know if I will replace them or not. That flush cutter would work, but I don't have one. The panels are 8X4' and the rafter to eve is 10' so they have to be sectioned.
This is kinda like what it looks like up there.
Insulation qualities are a plus but I'm really just covering up the old barn boards used back in the 50's. Ugly with a capital ugly! That, plus the PO reroofed it patching in some OSB boards that contrasts negatively with the old.
And...........I turn 87 tomorrow and want to finish it before I run out of time.

You're welcome Robert. I figured that a flush-cutter would also be a lighter-weight option; compared with having to hold a heavier tool above your head.. while standing on a ladder.
