Re: PSA propellors!!!
My Sterling Nieuport 28 and Testors Series 21 .29 engine. Don't laugh, I love that engine. Easy starter with no vices, and it powers that draggy bipe around the circle like right now on 52' lines. Always Powered Correctly prop with very sharp edges. We are talking 50+ years ago with some of my best C/L memories. I flew it many, many times in the company of friends. My son flew it too IIRC.
A little raggy now, but it earned its stripes.
I built another one a few years back, same series 21 but with a .35 engine. I want to fly it, but don't want to endanger my original.

Bob, there is nothing wrong with the Testors Series 21 Black Head engines. About the only negative is their extra heavier weight over the earlier Red Heads, but your plane is an example where it is a shoe-in, as your short nosed Nieuport is a good example of where this engine shines.

I had forgotten about the advantage of having a heavier engine in a short nosed model, mitigates it liability. It really did fly well. Advertized by Sterling as a stunter I never tried anything other than severe wingovers, straight up to a peake then dive it down. It was great at that. In better hands it would probably do figure 8's etc.
Notice those guy wires,,,,,,really made the model. Olive drab parachute thread.

Bob, scale details always make a model shine, nice work. Me, I gave it a shot with the Comet rubber powered biplanes back some 50 years ago, but it was difficult to get thread taut. Thus, I learned to leave them off. But, of the ones I saw, were well done and added realism to the model.rsv1cox wrote:Notice those guy wires,,,,,,really made the model. Olive drab parachute thread.
