Cox Engine of The Month
(FOR SALE) - Rebuilt Cox motors
(FOR SALE) - Rebuilt Cox motors
I have been rebuilding some small bore nitro engines to kill some time when I want to get away from my schoolwork.
So as a result, I have some cleaned/rebuilt engines that I won’t use, and want to get some money back.
All prices are in USD
RUNNING MOTORS
All motors I put on sale here have been test run and are in running shape.
OPEN FOR OFFERS
WANTED
Making an offer
-My ebay feedback-
Email me at (Puffie40[at]hotmail[dot]com) for offers and more details.
I accept paypal and money orders. I am flexible with the prices, as long as I can break even with the materials I put into it.
Trades
I’m a poor, starving student, so I would prefer money (Especially with the complete motors), but I will consider a “Parts for Parts” trade, and “other brand” (Other than 049 OK and Wen-Mac/Testors - I got lots of them ) motors will always catch my attention.
Return policy
I want you to get a decent motor, so if there is a problem with it, let me know, and I can either exchange it for a substitute motor or issue a refund.

RUNNING MOTORS
All motors I put on sale here have been test run and are in running shape.
- 4 Surestart motors – 3 have new cylinders and pistons from Cox international, one has a used No.1 cylinder. All have new glowheads, back ends, 6x3 props, and spinners. $35 each
- Cox surestart with older backplate (Black, No choke tube) Brushed finish (Straight crankcase with hex driveplate) Used cylinder and glowplug ($30)
OPEN FOR OFFERS
- 2 Cox car engine cranks and crankcases – one has a recoil starter, though it is missing the flywheel. The recoil starter has been cleaned and works without trouble. I may experiment on the possibility of making a driveplate to fit these if there are no takers.
- Diecast Testors car engine with recoil starter. Untested
- Cox two position throttle ring with spring clip – this looks like it came from a product engine. Includes a #7 ground cylinder and piston.
The Following motors have not been tested, but have working glowplugs and decent compression. their price is negotiable - Cox Babe Bee - polished tank and crankcase (Straight neck, hex plate and a phenolic thrust washer). (used) Slit-exhaust cylinder with new glowplug. ($40)
- Cox Babe Bee - brushed finish (Thick taper, round drive plate). used cyilinder and glowplug. ($35)
- Cox Pee Wee - older vintage (My dad's PW of '74 vintage has a thicker taper crankcase). Polished crankcase, some erosion on the tank anodizing, Broken hole on backplate, new glowplug ($35)
- OK Cub 049B - New Piston/cylinder, NV, Gaskets, currently waiting for a screw for the back tank ($20)
WANTED
- Cylinders and pistons for Wen Macs.
- Needle valves and springs for Wen Macs

Re: (FOR SALE) - Rebuilt Cox motors
I have a few OEM .15 wrenches in excellent condition. I'll trade three for a SureStart.

Re: (FOR SALE) - Rebuilt Cox motors
How much for the one in the middle with the red pull start? I've got parts to make an engine, but those would get me closer

I just grabbed this kit. I'm not sure what the compound is, other than it's called "Jeweler's Rouge"
