Re: CEF Honors All Who Served
1985...my first year at permanent party. I was assigned to a General Support maintenance company in the Component Rebuild shop (depot level service) at Ft Irwin Ca, just south of Death Valley. I can't begin to quantify the number of jeep transmissions, jeep differentials, and jeep engines I overhauled in that year.
Shortly after that, I watched our M88 Hurcules tracked recovery vehicle squash each jeep on the base during the Hummer phase-in while doing one-for-one turn-ins.

Re: CEF Honors All Who Served
My son spent yesterday putting flags up all around downtown Boyce Virginia in very liberal Clark county, over a hundred in all. One lady removed the flag next to her house (on public property.) Ironically, the sign in front of her house reads - "Hate does not live here."
This year in over two hours he got one notice of appreciation a honk from a truck driver. He spent six years in the Navy, deploying on the Truman and the Nimitz with VA-35, my old squadron.
Today his wife is taking him out to Olive Garden.

oh friend, I'll try to make the translator take what I want to say...:
I join your thought.
I agree with your thought.
I like your writing and I agree.
I join you in that writing in that thought.
