Does anyone know anything about these?

Cox .40 Engines? 1969_c10

This cutting is from 1969, but no-one seems to know if the engines were actually produced.

If they were, I want one!!!

Yes, they made 2 or 3 versions. The last one I saw go through eBay went for $1,500.

Were they actually produced in any numbers, or just a few prototypes given out for evaluation?
