Jeremy's Uncle Chris's Coffee Can of Fun
The other week, Jeremy gave me a can of parts from his Uncle. I originally thought they were from his Uncle Randy, come to find out they are from his late Uncle Chris. His Uncle Chris died in a experimental plane crash when Jeremy and I were in high school or shortly after. Anyway, the PeeWee 020 and the 049 are the only somewhat complete engines out of all of those parts. They both were all rusted and seized up. Jeremy and his Uncle Randy thought most of what was in that can was junk...
The 020, I'm still looking for parts to complete.
Although nearly in the same condition, the 049 was the most complete of the two. I only had to add the gaskets, pickup tube w/ spring, reed, glow head, and prop. I also had to do some polishing on the tank and crank to get them cleaned up and into running condition.
Both engines I am giving to Jeremy... my best friend of +25 years...

If you look at the wood block, you can see that 049 was a dirty little engine
Re: Jeremy's Uncle Chris's Coffee Can of Fun
It's unfortunate that I have two "Late Uncle" engines in my curio cabinet... both of which left this earth prematurely...
