Faded Plastic Empty Faded Plastic

Post  cmoore2963 Fri Feb 18, 2022 3:32 pm

Is there any way to bring color back to faded plastic?  I recently bought a yellow Cox Shrike and the plastic is pretty faded in places.  I thought of trying a headlight restoration kit, or maybe Brasso or a Mr Clean sponge.  Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Because fading is only on surface of plastic, so it is logical to sand the model with fine sandpaper. I think that wiping with mineral oil will be useful after sanding.

If you want any decals then let me know. I can reproduce decals for printing on A4 vinyl sheets.

I don't have Shrike decals but I can send A4 size png file of decals to print on vinyl self adhesive sheets. Laser print is better. No cost any.

Print on A4 size clear vinyl. Paint the model with white paint under Cox lettering, because lettering is clear. Download link:

THANKS Levent!  I don't need one right now, but will definately be used in the future clean-up of a Shrike. COOL! This Site Rocks!
