Hmm...I didn't know that it was so concentrated around the mid-west. You'd think that model clubs everywhere would do this stuff occasionally.

It IS fun, and there's also the opportunity to drive 250 miles one way to buy a $1.50 Wen Mac needle valve ! Like they say, "It's the Journey, not (necessarily) the destination!"

Looks like their fly-in got rained out, bummer. Looking through their member pics, there is a pic of Patty Wagstaff. Wonder if she is truly a member, although the address on her website is Florida though...

I halfway know Joel Jones. He owns CJ's hobbyshop in Lake City, and I think he operates the club. Not sure.

At their past show, they had Greg Connell with his classic Pitts biplane, and Gary Ward with his MX2. The also had other planes including a AT-6 Texan and P-51D Mustang.

A private pilot was told not to land on the RC field, but did anyway. The FAA fined him $2,000.
