Purpose of For Sale/Wanted forum?

What is the purpose of the For Sale/Wanted forum here?

All I seem to find are odd links to ebay objects that are mislabeled etc. These to me would fit under an off-topic forum, or not at all...

What did I get wrong here, is it not meant to be a market place?

we use it as a notification center for special things that are "for sale" on ebay.
if someone wants to sell something, the topic is usually pretty short.

oh yeah, and the reason we like mislabled things is because they are harder to find, i. e.
less people bidding on it

Not many people sell things in FS/W, so I don't think it is overcrowded.

I just post rare or unusual ebay items that are cox related. They still are for sale though.

I'ts both, to answer your question.

It is a marketplace and it's also a place we use to post items that may be useful to others.

Kinda like one hand washes the other. We like to help each other.

Both types are easily distinguishable by the topic.
