Link isn't working, acting weird... I noticed it on another one you posted.

Why was that poor little 1cc being forced to run a prop more suited to a 3.5? put a 7 x 4 on it and let it be happy!

You actually got it to start? congratulations, you're a better man that I! I could get it to fire, but a run seemed to be beyond it!

It is odd it sorta wobbles about on anything less than that!
and serious finger pain!
I think it is the crank you know!
Re: Bad Boy ! "The Plan"
So, since Bad Boy ain't just a Pretty Boy...he's gonna have to earn his keep. I have put together a collection of back plates, tanks, screws, and other devices, which will allow him to adapt to his new role. Namely, taking the place of the stock engines in the Cox RTF's I'm readying to fly. As we all know, the ONE thing any of these little gems can use is MORE POWAA!
His first assignment will be to drag my un-flown (I think) Cox Rivets up into the ether. The engine of this plane has a starter system I hadn't seen before...somewhat reminiscent of a Wen Mac's flywheel/flat-coiled spring starter. It uses a modified wire coil that engages the back of the flywheel, allowing the plane to have a starter without opening up the narrow nose area of the cowl.
It's also got a "different" (at least to me) engine mounting system. The screws hold the engine forward, against mounting columns molded into the nose of the cowl. This is all held to the front of the plane with plastic tabs, molded into the fuse, that engage notches in the cowl, along with a small spring that's hooked between the two.
After I get the decals from Matt applied to it's flanks, I'm going to take Rivets to the airport on some calm afternoon, and see what it will do. Bad Boy's next mission will be to get my rather battered P-40 flying.

Hi Kim
That Bad Boy should really make the Rivets go, like to see a video.
I saw you use that soft silicone tubing, I had some and need more but cant remember where I got it.
Cant seem to find it now, where do you get it?
Thank Doug

Yeah, I think Tower Hobbies also has it. I've gotten most of mine from my hobby shop here, and Sheffers Hobbies in St. Louis. You really need samples from the three smallest sizes. Also, I use Bernie's plastic tubing as a "starter" on the back plates and some tanks as it sometimes clings a bit better.

Would that be Schaefer's?

i've bought some 1/2a fuel line from them also. Seems smaller then what Bernie has.
Re: Bad Boy ! "The Plan"
I just got some from CI, its not the very soft flexable tube thats good for splicing fuel lines,
and slipping on needle valves ect.

I've been using the insulation from the flexible silicone battery wire --- like that found on Lipos or used by the car boys --- as fuel tubing. Most of the hobby shops that cater to RC racing will have bulk wire in several gauges so you can buy a foot or two of each gauge and choose which size works best (plus the colors are bright).
