Step up Phil and claim your prize, I can't understand the hesitation. Unless, and hopefully not covid has stepped in and thrown a wrench into the puzzle box. I just want to see what Jason has cooked up in there. Anticipation is making me wait!

Do it just like they do it on radio stations.
D.J. saying over the radio:
O.K. ---- Call in to our station and caller 10 will be the winner for todays prize!
Hello caller 10? well it looks like caller 10 hung up?
I guess we'll take caller 11 then?
This memory is for the older folks that listen and called into the radio stations to win concert tickets and stuff.
I think the younger (kids) don't do that much any more?

Re: 200,000 Posts!
Howdy folks! Now I know y'all may opt to kick me out of the conversation but allow me to throw my thoughts into the discussion. The ruling ... goal post ... and clock stop was for the 200,000th post right? Well, it has been made and the "winner" doesn't want the prize or refuses to claim it which is his right, yes, no?) Well, here's my 10 cent ... I believe there should be a rollover of the award and press forward. Somehow, it seems wrong to just settle for an a coin flipped "also-ran". I know most would agree that this was and is a worthy and honorable award, it should count for something other than just a second or third best handout.
I hope this makes sense and truly ... truly ... I don't mean to insult either participant being considered. BUT ... like catching the train, bus or plane at 200,000, the door was closed, the brakes released and the accelerator pressed!! Catch'em at the next stop!!

I’ll leave it up to Jacob to decide on a resolution. I’m just the prize provider.
Phil is going to miss out on something great.

Jim Carter your killin' me!
Roll it over? No way I'm going to be around after another 100,000 posts, even 50,000. This place is populated by a bunch of old duffers, of which I think I'm the lead duffer. Seems like I age two years for everyone elses one. But, I'm ok with that. semi-smile!
It's that anticipation thing.
I still say that Phil should step forward, but the lodgical second choice would be 200,001.
One final appeal to Phil then let 'er rip.

Believe it or not my wife listens to a country station that still does that. In the last few years she has won three times. The problem is I have to go pick up the tickets in a part of town I NEVER go to not even in daylight. I told her STOP I will buy the tickets for you PLEASE!!

Re: 200,000 Posts!
Well, we waited long enough. Sadly, we received no answer.
Since I had long enough to think about it, it is only fair that 944_Jim gets the prize as he was next in line at 200,001. Unfortunately, FlipStart was at 199,999 which was just before the winning post.

So with that said above....
If you haven't noticed, the Cox Engine Forum has passed a milestone!
To celebrate this milestone, Jason Birnschein (Jason_WI) has put together a special labyrinth prize puzzle box for the member who made the 200,000th post! We watched closely for the moment the post count rolled over to 200,000, and that post occurred almost exactlytwo weeks one month ago on the 16th of August. You're only hearing about this now thanks to by packed schedule over the past two weeks, and the desire to include some final details with the prize.
What was the200,000th 200,001 post and who made it? Well, have a look for yourself: https://www.coxengineforum.com/t15412-solvedmost-efficent-glowhead-clip-for-norvel-engine#200923
The winner has been contacted!
Once again, Jason has really outdone himself on another really cool forum prize!
What's in it? That's up to the winner to find out and hopefully share about!

Re: 200,000 Posts!
Gentlemen,
Thanks so much for sharing the award with me. I really wish FargPhil would pop up and grab it.
FargoPhil,
If you see this...PM me. I'll send it to you.
Back when this fracas started, I PMd Admin for who was +1 and -1.
Really, this wasn't me hoping PF would drop out. I want him to enjoy recieving the prize. I wanted him to claim it so we would know what is inside. It was an internal, and morbid fascination with the event statistics. Stick with me...You will understand in a moment.
For me, this is one if those times I landed near a threshold. I have lots of stories where I fell through the crack...they are good beer drinking stories, but don't translate to written word too well. My last name starts with an M, so I'm handicapped by any alphabetical sort list. Not like Zipherman, but still there are lots and lots of last names between Addams and "Mine."
So, as an example...while deploying downrange, we had to change from BDUs to "chocolate chip cookie uniform."
We are standing in line with open duffle bags getting stuffed by clothing articles...they ran out of my Boot size with the last pair going to the guy in front of me. Same trip, different line...Field Jackets
I finally got the right size boots...but I had to buy them while I was having the "Field Dress" disassembled and rebuilt buy the AAFES tailor as a field jacket.
My morbid fascination with this "condition" means I start looking way forward for those cracks so I can try to NOT fall through! And in the same vein, I observe the statistics...when, where, what, by-how-much?
However...to get back on a positive note! I consider the prize to be a trophy. We all earned this trophy by making this forum a very active, and positive environment. I have three sites in heavy rotation, and this one is the most uplifting and entertaining one, thanks to all of you!
So, on behalf of all of the forum members, I gladly accept the trophy and promise to declare when it gets to me, and when I get it opened. I won't guarantee the information will come in one message...it is a puzzle after all!
Thanks to Admin and Jason, and to all of you, my Fellow Cox Enthusiasts/Members!

Re: 200,000 Posts!
Ron,
I need to see what the blue-suit equivalent is...They call them Client Systems.Techs. But I'm also the Information Assurance Officer for the unit. Lots of SAAR's to process and track for 170+ people in the unit. Lots of different systems to do this for. Then annual MIC-T, InfoSysTechCustodian (inventory control). Functional Server Administrator. I'm in the GAL.
I'll let my sign off go for a bit. Y'all will smack your heads. Especially the mathematicians (hint, hint).

Gents,
I figure the steam ran out of the fun...and it is time to explain "30D41_Jim."
Ready?
30D41 is HEXadecimal for 200,001 (Face-Palm!)

When you first mentioned it Jim, I actually went to the trouble of looking it up on the net, came up with an electrical device and a Lexus side mirror.

Yeah, me too, they lost me when they introduced letters into or in place of numbers. Of course I could have been a "A" student if we were allowed to use calculators like Cribbs shows ! My freshman year at college we had a mandatory class of "Sliderule". You had to take the class, buy the brand sliderule specified( from the schools bookstore) to attend class taught by a "tenured" proffessor, who taught no other class but this one.
What a waste of time and money. I could have bought a battery powered Calculator for what that class cost to take! HA!
