Even if this doesn't work on the Bacaruda I think it could well be the tank du jour for Johnnies upcomming Cox carbed utube
weekend. 049 Wrench for scale
Do you find that the engine runs well on Soy sauce? doesn't the exhaust smell strange?

Gotta try everything to get the little so and so to run right Wif.
Btw have you ever tried a drop of silicon (car interior dressing) in your fuel?
Rumour has it, it's a good anti foaming agent in castor based fuel.

5£ for sushi!
Man, you guys have it good. I pay double that. And no fuel tank bonus in mine.

I would usually pay an equivalent of 3-4 pounds for a sushi portion this big.
No tank in there though, the soya sauce comes in a bag :/
BTW, it's a lot cheaper (not to mention more fun) to make your own sushi

Most of our stuff is twice your prices Ron
For Example 10 bucks a gallon of gas
20 fags are 11.75 bucks
I'm 'lucky' I get to smoke passively in my...oops nearly typed office but that would be illegal allowing the staff to smoke.....
And we certainly don't enjoy salaries twice what they are in the States

Somehow I missed this the other day. So how did it run with the glove finger?

Better than I ever hoped for really Rusty, thanks to your Vid/over 4 mins flight time and great running regardless of aircrafts attidude. Of course Murphys law being what it is, the wind's picked up over here so I probably won't get a crack at it this weekend.
The only 'bad' point is it's still fairly difficile to needle. But looking at the many utubes of the 010 it seems a VERY common
denominator with that engine.
I read in one of our mags recently that it's an idea when running castor based to add a tiny amount of silicon to the mix to
prevent the fuel foaming so I'm wondering if given the scale of the things whether they are more affected by such variables
than the bigger 020 and 049's?

I don't think the fuel will foam in an airless container. You evacuated all the air before filling it, right?
One drop of ArmorAll to a quart will stop foaming. Too much will foul the glow plug.

This thread IMO, is a great example of a family like discussion just 11 years ago. Seems today, we are so worried about drifting off topic, when it was the camaraderie displayed herein that helped to make CEF great. Rusty as moderator rolled along with the punches and gave great advice, along with the discussion of sushi for lunch and use of another common rubber article for fuel bladders.
What happened to these guys? @ian1954, any clues to those in your stomping grounds of UK?

I agree too
But as regards the original discussion in this old thread 11 years ago about a proven anti-foaming fuel tank, in my experience it is a non pressurized party balloon, properly air-vented when filled, that I use in all my RC planes with COX engines, be it the smallest 010 or largest 09 TeeDee...

András, you are not alone, I recall a few others in this forum use the same type of fuel system for their half-A's, which also came out of this discussion, good methodology. Plus, your photos and narratives have helped others try this method.
I thought it was a great conversation being carried on by our other members from England, Bulgaria, Poland and a few here on our side of the ocean. Makes me wonder how @John Goddard, @Ivanhoe, @PV Pilot, @dirk gently, @nitroairplane, @microflitedude, @dankar04, @MiniatureAircraftFactory, @fit90, are doing now. Would like to see them join us again.
