Number two's
On 2 of mine and on one on ebay that myself and Indra were watching last week there is a 2 stamped
on the left (from the pilots seat) hand bearer.
Any ideas what it denotes?

In the early 70's Cox modified the crankshaft by machining a thicker web. The "2" aided assembly folks by identifying which crankcase assembly required the new shaft.

Thank goodness your here Mud. Why is it I only see them on .051's?

I don't think so John, keep in mind I am a self admitted non-expert in these matters.

Re: Number two's
Naw I was talking to Mr Beecroft the other week Indra He definitely ingraved all of them with 4 digits.
I was only asking about these 'NFFS Pistons' on the bay and whether they were likely to be real.
We'll see soon........
