Three dollars empty.

This is the size I remember from my R/C days. Plastic bottles were a big let-down.

Neat find, I remember back in the 80's we would fly at a nearby school football field. The entire field would be full of smoke using Superfuel. It was on those evenings when the air would be still. You could smell it in the air for an hour even when no one was flying.

I truly believe the statement to be snake oil. Nitroethane was the 1% detergent. However, this amount of oil was totally unnecessary and it caused major varnish issues. After a season of running I would have to use a product that Sig made called Var-Free which you mixed into your fuel. Some of my flying buddies even dunked the entire engine in the can of Gunk carb cleaner and let it sit in the can the entire winter.  Propylene oxide was being used as a ignition improver up until the point it was listed as a carcinogen. Many times, Fox instructions were outdated and rarely updated therefore I can see this being left on the can even if it wasn't within it. Duke also always looked for the inexpensive way out.

Ah, the smell of burned castor in the morning.  Smells like...................fun.

Mark hasn't got it to me yet, but it looks to be in good shape.  I had a place for one built into my flight box and all the cans I had got pretty well beat up.  Tossed them all. Both sides of the can are identical.

That’s a great find for only $3 bucks! Some on the auction site try to get rich on these empty cans!

Some here question the 28% oil content that Duke requested in the fuel for the Fox Stunt 35. I having flown this engine since 1961 and have 4 other stunt .35's as well, also the .19 and .25 engine's were stunt engines, the ones that could be run with 2 needle valves. In information that I have since long lost, it was stated as to these stunt engines, that the cooling area of the head and cylinder, are greatly under cooled. The addition of the extra castor, helped in re-leaving the heat from the combustion in these engines that the cooling fins could not. Some might disagree, and that's OK! All my Fox stunt engines since my first from 1961, have been flown with the 28% castor to even this day, all including the .19 and .25, do not have black heads and cylinders from running too little castor oil. It's a little more messy to clean up after the day's flying is done, but after almost 50 years of flying the Fox stunt, they still run today. Eddy
