There's a Cox Avion Mustang for sale here complete with Instruction sheet if that helps.

Re: What is Cox Avion?
Thanks but I was just curious as to what model of engine it is as I don't believe that I have even seen one.
Re: What is Cox Avion?
According to Dan Sitters book it's a 190-2 (1961 - 1965)ECJ#12. Not sure which sub classification it is, a, b, c... etc

Engine mount part number
Mudhen wrote:The engine is the "Avion 190." It was the first non-integral tank product engine used in the Shinn 2150A.
Mudhen: you don’t happen to know the part number of the yellow engine mount? Sure looks like a great way to go. Do you know how well the engine performed? If it performed well why is it not being used today? So many questions.

Thanks
Mudhen wrote:Because parts are hard to find, and it was specific to the Shinn. I suppose it could be adapted.happydad wrote:...If it performed well why is it not being used today?
Firewall P/N 6207.
The core engine was single bypass and had the same performance as a Babe Bee.
Mudhen:
thanks for the info. I bet that part is just as hard to get as the reed holder-needle valve assembly was.
