Carpentry database?
So, there is
Outerzone.co.uk
aerofred.com
and
www.hippocketaeronautics.com
For all kinds of flying balsa plans.
How about for carpentry: furniture, cabinetry, etc.
I just moved (Now in Mentor, OH) and I need new stuff around the firepit, on the patio, and more... and I am lacking in my google-fu this week. I am only finding the most generic plans, very little that looks comfortable.
I am not building a house addition or a deck. I am fairly well equipped with decent selections of modern and antique tools. I just want to consult plans, alter some dimensions to suit, and not draw out my own.
Thanks
Phil

Re: Carpentry database?
Phil,
My suggestion would be to go specific with your searches. As in “outdoor lawn chair plans”
https://www.familyhandyman.com/list/15-awesome-plans-for-diy-patio-furniture/
My only other suggestion would be to search for a book. Better than the internet and easier to read.

Re: Carpentry database?
I found that, the bench as #11 in that link is sorta where I want to go, but not quite.
This is the other two promising links
https://www.deckmagazine.com/outdoor-living/structures-features/benches-built-for-comfort_o
https://www.thisoldhouse.com/gardening/21016615/how-to-build-a-garden-bench
Which is a sad few returns for poking after ideas for a several hours this weekend.
I have tried a mountain of searches and most return pinterest which is a relinking recursive nightmare.
Part of my problem is I don't quite know what I really want.

Re: Carpentry database?
Perhaps not what your looking for.
But I built this little foot bridge off the top of my head at our Florida house. If you have a transition area between driveway and grass it makes a nice addition. Treated 2X8's band saw cut, 2X4's, and furring strips. Toss the plans, I have seen your work. Bet you could come up with something perfect and original that would fit your needs.
Puffer and Skittles inspecting my work.

Very cool, but no. I might at some point but not now.
I bet I can work out something too. I just want a good starting point. I have done little in the line of seating, and my previous results were mediocre.

Re: Carpentry database?
Ya don’t say if you use Facebook. Many people don’t, it’s full of useless brain dead political garbage. But, if you scrape of the BS you can find some goodies in the GROUPs pages,
Here’s one from the “Beginner Woodworkrs” page:
https://lookaside.fbsbx.com/file/Build-It-Better-Yourself%20Woodworking%20Projects%20-%20Outdoor%20Furniture.pdf?token=AWxL0QUkvFPLK3z3U_dwYAA8YzSIyrCOAUziqR0ig27BSSFkSNQNNT_U7bYMtqDPYKBOcb_aryI1AA6ifBGHE8E3G_Byu_TCn5FpffIoIRqspUvDK1ONi-hd7q4QyEglcWHLRd82HnldHYMz4j479nP6choniaq6iQhzKcbUGSMs1wzkjIxftkSaO8a-UPAU__-w58-ghbhC_Rt1BYXXbZ_V
They have lots of PDF files to browse.
I enjoyed having woodshop, and metalshop in high school. Things I learned back then have stayed with me. I’m more of a fix it guy rather than a true craftsman.

Re: Carpentry database?
Wood outdoor furniture is no easy task IMO. Built in place or movable? If movable you will need to build lite. The seat needs a curve or hard on the butt, the bench in your first link looks like it has a comfortable seat. The back looks a little too curved for me. Adirondack chairs are some of the more comfortable for me, curved seat straight back. YMMV

Thanks CB. I like that chair you found too. Nice plans. Bet Phil could knock that out in no time. I have seen them built with decorative wooden wheels on the back legs that make them easy to move around.
Found Rene's humor grinable.
