Freddy has a big heart, many here have benefited from his generosity including myself.
I tried to pay him back, don't even try or suffer a mild scolding.

I know how you can make two, or even more, people happy!
Just build and fly them two planes! Do that and we’ll all be happy !

I'm gonna have to round up some supplies and find somewhere with room enough to build before I get one of these in the air! I usually work on stuff in my RV...but its still winter in Minnesota. Fred didn't include any warm Texas weather!

Well I got to step 3 reading the instructions before I got hopelessly confused! I think these newer kits just assume you already have a clue! I'll figure it all out,but I think the RElearning curve is gonna be high! Must have been a lot sharper 55 yrs. ago!......and this is the SIMPLE kit!

The beauty of this forum is we collectively have all the answers you need. Once you get ready to go then start a build thread. We can help you get through each step if that’s what you desire.

Re: Mystery package from Texas
OhBee,
Which one will you start with? Do a show and tell, or show and ask...we can assist!
I recommend the Wizz as the long-awaited toe dip in the pool.
Actually, the other may have a traditional wing build up. Three of my four BHM kits have built up leading edges, that is they are laminated edges of flat stock. The Shoestring may be square stick leading/trailing edges.

Re: Mystery package from Texas
The easier one first Jim! Instructions are rather meager....I have to ponder for awhile on each step. ....and so far I'm just reading through the instructions! ....HEY.....have you gotten any PM',s I've sent you on here or RCG? ...somethings fishy on here....I get no replies.
Ya....this Wizard is a square stick leading edge. How do you get that symetricaly shaped? Seems everything I built in the past had a formed leading edge

OhBee,
I've gotten your PMs here and RCG.
Symmetry: Sanding block and a paper template. Or, eyeball. Remember, this IS supposed to be fun!

I second to that..his generosity is unique and I felt the same embarrassed when all of a sudden a package of beautiful goodies rained on me from him.

Re: Mystery package from Texas
Lots of generous folk out there. Some of you may know Tom Hartman. I got to know him over on 049 Collectors Group a while back. Somehow we got talking about OK Cubs and turns out he had a large stock on NOS Cub parts. We worked out a deal to get a few parts I needed and his prices were really low, even in comparison to OK engine's low prices. Well, finally after some health problems both of his own and his daughters he has put a parcel together and it's on its way Down Under. Seems that he's hinting that there might just be a few extras in the box I didn't order from him. (Like complete engines etc). We'll see when it arrives. I was always told, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch".
Damn exchange rate stinks currently. Your $17.25 USD shipping becomes my $26 AUD

Re: Mystery package from Texas
Getback....ya..I found those pics myself. Wing construction is a bit unorthadox compared to what I had done in the past...kinda threw me for a loop. Need to gather up a few supplies. Have no proper glues and such. Afraid it will be awhile......but it's going to be fun!

Re: Mystery package from Texas
Still sorting through Freds gift...what is this? Thought it was .049 but cyl is thicker and piston looks smaller? No markings on it. Can't seem to contact Fred.....pm's not working? ....actually the more I compare it to my babe bee,the cyl is larger in diameter than the Bee...and the piston appears LARGER also
