cox TD 051 engine/parts

Hi all , for my small collection i'm looking for a new piston+cyl of tee dee 051, or with a reasonable offer//good condition also a full engine.

Hi cescoturbo, TD051 cylinder-piston sets are rarities even on ebay. They pop up, if pop up at all, once in every 1-2 years on ebay.

Performance-wise they are not much different than the TD049 sets, and are interchangeable with the 049 set, for which the most certain source is COX International (https://coxengines.ca/cox-.049-tee-dee-cylinder-and-piston.html ) , or, Exmodelengines (http://www.exmodelengines.com/product.php?productid=17674&cat=267&page=1 ).

I have four salvaged TD 051 engines plus a couple more cases/cranks (no p/l). I say salvaged because the backplates on all look like they were assembled with pliers. The engines themselves look o.k. other than being badly gunked up with congealed castor oil.

I have no idea what they are worth. Make an offer.

uhm..i ever see 051 in red body ... and black 049
is there one with decent compression? the good one looking picture seem to be the one in the middle

Black or red carb body not relevant

.051 pistons only fit a #5 cylinder...they are marked under exh port
the pistons all have 1 or rarely 2 groves around the skirt

There is one with reasonable compression, I think it's the one you identified. (Hard to tell after the stash got put back in the sack after the photos! Crying or Very sad

) Also not sure if "reasonable" for me would mean "decent" for you.
