Re: Metal back plate
We will likely be making them in aluminium. Have received some samples and they are of excellent quality.

Re: Metal back plate
Not sure what ur asking but there are Instruction sheets to the left of the page / and if you have a needle tip broken off in the venture then that's a problem ! Most time they want come out , but you can try cleaning and blowing compressed air through the fuel/mix intake stopping up the air intake with ur finger . From Ifo / instrustion sheets https://9824b54b-a-62cb3a1a-s-sites.googlegroups.com/site/coxenginecollection/instructionpapers/cox_black_widow_049_instructions-1.pdf?attachauth=ANoY7cqIQr Hope this helps

They will be silver aluminium and we would look at whether we would anodize some or all, perhaps in black?
Re: Metal back plate
The more original looking, the better they would sell, I would imagine. Personally bare anodized aluminum would work for me.

Metal Backplates
This is the very best news I've heard in a long time! I believe the current backplate(s) are the "Achilles Heel" of the tanked reed valve engines. I'm sure the entire AMA Mouse Racing community will love converting over to these! I believe the smallest venturi hole on the early Golden / Silver Bee was .062" I.D. Of course the later Black Widow was .082". Given that Cox design engineer Larry Renger claims the backplate hole should be "slightly smaller" than the tank venturi to give a tiny lip. I'd like to see a backplate hole I.D. of .060". That would be perfect for the Golden Bee tank and allow for all other possible scenario's, that would allow the end user to drill out to suit their own taste.
Please put me down for 6 small hole venturi backplates as soon as they come out. I can't wait!
Cheers,
Paul G. (aka Mr. Mouse)
P.S. Oh, and black anodized would be my favourite color choice.

Ship date is January 9. We should have them within a week of that date and then take a day or so to press in spraybars.
There will a stunt and non-stunt version. 50% will be silver and 50% black.

Are they going to be the fine thread needle valve assembly like the old Kern type (Kustom Kraftsman)?
