Cox Engine of The Month
Introducing our reseller program
Introducing our reseller program
For the past couple of years we have had a reseller program; whereas we give substantial discounts (40%) on almost all of our products to qualifying parties
In the meantime we supply many hobby shops, on-line sellers and eBayers all over the world. We consider the following to be resellers:
On-Line sellers (including eBay)
B & M (Brick and Mortar stores)
Kit manufacturers
Engine repair shops
In short anyone who sells Cox items, whether part of full time or uses such as incidental to their business (kits / engine repair).
Although, technically, we do not have any minimum purchase requirements, orders need to look as if they are for resale purposes (i.e. a couple of engines, spinners, some props and a battery box we deem to be for personal use).
If any of you from this forum consider yourselves to be resellers as per above please either contact us via our website or write to our eStore operator, Nichole, at sales@coxengines.ca

Exactly what I was thinking.
In the UK there is only a dealer for .049 parts so maybe I could handle the other size engines and parts.

Yep, might work well, also you are very knowledgeable with the smaller displacements. It could bring back a surge in popularity.

I would certainly enjoy it, maybe also buy and refurbish eBay engines to sell.

lol John this is just and idea now but hopefully one day and then if it goes to plane I will be able to manufacture parts on a small scale.
Some other stuff I have to take care of first though!

Re: Introducing our reseller program
I mean I would be hoping for international customers too as one of the thongs would be refurbished other engines like .010s that there is no other real source.cribbs74 wrote:John Goddard wrote:Well you've one idiot as a customer about 9 miles away...

Re: Introducing our reseller program
We have a reseller in the UK (Den Saxcoburg):
http://www.densmodelsupplies.co.uk/
as well as one in Australia (Lindsay Price):
http://www.wightsmodelaircraft.com.au/
Both gents have been resellers for a couple of years and I initially accorded them exclusive rights. Although these exclusive rights were officially terminated as of the end of 2011, I would be hard-pressed to accord reseller discounts to other parties in the UK or Australia if this directly interferes with their business (i.e. on-line sellers that would offer the same merchandise).
Both parties are avid buyers of our merchandise and they deserve our support. After those two exclusive arrangements I realized my mistake and stopped makeing those promises lol.

No I would not.
I have checked out Den's site and only see .049 stuff I would be in it for the smaller stuff.

Re: Introducing our reseller program
Fair enough and you might want to contact Den and let him know what you are planning. You will find Den a nice person to deal with and I'm sure you will get his support if you can demonstrate that your quest will not affect him much. Don't hesitate to refer to my comments.
Den only carries a limited amount of our products and there are more opportunities. I am not averse to selling you products that may conflict with what Den sells but would want to discuss this with him beforehand. He has invested a lot of time and $$'s into his website and I cannot bring it upon myself to let greed on my part get in the way of ethics.

Re: Introducing our reseller program
Well said Bernie!
I Have been on Den's site many times and what I notice is he stocked engines for the models he sells mostly 1/2a CL and parts for those engines.
When/if I do/did start I would be sure to check with him.
Right now it is an if as I have more important stuff going on right now.
