I just won this auction. I am pretty sure it's a .15 judging by the cylinder and NVA. Just wondering if it is indeed a .15 and if so besides being a Tee Dee what is it?

It's a TD 09.
Neds a new carb body and the venturi is squashed. The case is suspect also on the bottom.

Thanks Jason, I had already seen the faults you mentioned. I had only taken a couple looks at it before I placed the bid. The NVA looked like the ones found on the .15 that have the threaded opening. I wanted an .09 as well so no big deal I suppose. I am not a collector in the classic sense as I run all my engines so I will replace the backplate and carb housing and live with the nick in the case.
Back to more .15 hunting

So anybody know of a source for a carb body? MECOA says they have em but, the stock status says in process. Matt and Bernie do not carry them. Matt does have NV and the spring and backplate I need though.

Agree Jared, Mike does classy gear.
I got a black one for my 15 and it's
Indistinguishable from standard.
The only thing to bear in mind Ron
Is it won't have a pressure nipple.

I could always drill out that nasty backplate I suppose and keep a nice one for show should the need arise.

If you want a pressure nipple you could drill and tap a 2-56 hole where the pressure nipple usually is and then install a 2-56 bolt, remove the head and drill through the bolt. I have done this on the .049 venturi bodies to anchor the starter spring. I use red Loctite on the screw.

Mecoa uses the ole reliable "in process" quite a bit. I think they are still moving there operation.

Good idea Bob, as a bonus there is a little more meat for the fuel line to hang on to.

Well it's here. Cleaned up well, just need a new needle valve and spring, backplate and carb body. Looks like it was hardly used, went through a crackup and forgotten. Excellent compression and no tool marks.

Also have these on the way from Ebay..........

Yeah, I am not even going to tell you what the temps were here in South Texas last week. You know John, even though you can't go outside to play now. I bet you will appreciate it more when you can than those of us who take it for granted!

For once we are getting better weather than you! We usually watch the TV forcasts and see it's freezing and snowing here, and people in London & the Home Counties are swanning around in shorts! Not that our weather is good now, just no snow (Thanks be!)

It's like spring here....
If I could John, I'd take all your snow! We rarely get snow at all.

Same here like once a year.
Re: I now know what it is and it's FIXED more pics
Received my carb body from Mike Parkin, It's a nice piece and comes with a sealing gasket and O-ring. Fit was perfect and It looks very close to the original piece with the exception of the square venturi inlet and absent pressure nipple.
The engine cost $27 and the carb body was $22. So for 50. bucks or so I have a really nice .09. Not bad, not good but, I am happy with it.
