Beautifying my Baronnet models, with Cox .020 & .049
Some time ago I enjoy these models that really fly very well.
The Tee Dee .020 looks fully as it is fully exposed to the view and its acceleration adjustment is brilliant!
I got in a store that a few years ago closed its doors, these pilots, and then decided to place them to the models .... I am working on it ....

Nice work! Good Thing the boys have goggles, considering the ”emissions” of the power plant

Re: Beautifying my Baronnet models, with Cox .020 & .049
Okay, it's been quite a while and I've picked up this thread.
Well, the refurbished Baronnet model is a beautiful plane to enjoy different engines, as many know I have flown this model with:
Cox .020 Pee Wee r/c
Cox .020 Tee Dee r/c
Cox .049 Babe Bee r/c
and also the red Baronnet with Cox .049 Killer Bee r/c , so now, I'm looking forward to flying the blue Baronnet with Cox .049 Killer Bee r/c.
Here are some images of this model during the different engines used ...
Cox Pee Wee .020 r/c
Cox Tee Dee .020 r/c
Cox .049 Babe Bee r/c
Now setting it up for the Killer Bee .049 r/c

Thanks Eric!
This is the first Cox to be recorded in the world flying at night accompanied by the moon!
It is not something minor! It is a challenge friend !! ... I am glad you like it, it was a wonderful experience for me and to leave this moment recorded ... it would be nice if Mr. Leroy could see one of his creations in a moment like that !! ...

Re: Beautifying my Baronnet models, with Cox .020 & .049
I have started work on another .049 engine for my red Baronnet.
This is a Cox Babe Bee .049 conical crankcase, a killer bee back plate plus a Cox Tee Dee cylinder and piston with throttle ring ... the result, I lick it: Cox Babe Bee .049 Special :-)
Finally, two thrust washers or supplement were needed for the correct operation of the engine.

Re: Beautifying my Baronnet models, with Cox .020 & .049
Thanks Eric !!
I have assembled a powerful engine for its parts, but I have it limited, that is, I do not want all its power, since the models (Baronnet) are very small and light, so with little they will carry them with total excess power. .
I'm also using non-nitromethane fuel, not for extra power.
As you can see, the .049s are very powerful for these models, so I'll try not to punish them too much!
Here's what they look like now, with the .049 Cox and its bonnet with grids, plus the pilot figures ...

Re: Beautifying my Baronnet models, with Cox .020 & .049
Well folks, today I went to fly the Baronnet´s, both with Cox .049 engines.
You may think that I want to look good with the fans, but I really don't, I just want to express my joy and admiration (once again) for Cox products.
I had a lot of fun this afternoon, this is really what makes my life happy !!
Well without further words I share the first video of the Red Baronnet with the Cox that I named it: Cox Special ... I placed a 5 x 3 APC propeller and it was all fun ... the Baronnet flying inverted hahaha, nor imagine, however, like this It was ... I'm looking forward to flying again and continuing a few more hours of flight!
Here then the Red Baronet in action!

Re: Beautifying my Baronnet models, with Cox .020 & .049
Well, after seeing and enjoying my red Baronnet with the Cox .049 Special and APC 5 x 3, then I decided to also place the same propeller on the blue Baronnet, that is, an APC 5 x 3 and see how it turns out in the Killer Bee. 049. So I want to take advantage, to share the following steps that I do before using a propeller in any model.
1) Check exactly the length from the center of the hole to the ends of each blade.
2) Check that the central hole is really perpendicular to the base of the blade.
3) Make a shaft carefully, metallic if possible in order to avoid deformations and that it fits perfectly in said hole and that the central screw fits perfectly.
4) Balance the blade.
5) Check the adjustment screw that it is originally perfectly centered, in case it is deformed, replace it or straighten it, achieving its correct centering.
After these steps, you can enjoy the propeller at high turns without generating any type of vibration failure in the model, such as detachment of cables, vibration of controls, or false contacts between cable plug connectors.
The altar rpm, are very good when everything is well controlled, it is right there where it is safely enjoyed.
all ready to try the Baronnet Azul and APC 5 x 3!
