051 Killer Widow
Here is Randy's 051, new and improved, maybe... This video is the last 2 minutes of a 5 minute run. It took me awhile to figure out why it didn't want to run. It needed a 2nd head gasket and more fuel mixture.

Re: 051 Killer Widow
When we had trouble getting MFD's Killer Bee for the Tach Race running, I remembered it has to have an air gap or hole behind it when mounted to a board. Otherwise the venturi inlet is choked. I had forgotten about that since all other backplates have a gap so it can draw air. A hole behind it or at least a spacer makes them bench run a WHOLE lot better.
BTW, yours sounds really fast, good work.

I'll guess 19.2K RPM
Let us know what you read on the tach.

Re: 051 Killer Widow
Any idea why the fuel is sloshing around only near the pick-up tube in the tank, or is that normal?
Re: 051 Killer Widow
Hey...when you post your video like that, how do you arrange it to appear with a scene and ready arrow, rather than just the link ?

Nice!
Impessive numbers, it sounded like it was turning a good clip. Now to hit the 20k mark!

Re: 051 Killer Widow
I goofed and burned up my brand new 051 head with 3V, ya I know..... but it was the first one that did though. Those numbers were with the original head I got from Randy.
It seemed that it wanted to go faster, just wasn't happening. I think once I get a new head and a new fuel tank, I may get some better numbers.

Re: 051 Killer Widow
My tach-ear must be accurate, I guessed 19.2. Nice running engine.

You have a clunk/line tuning fork issue with the vibrations. Some foam under the tank and rubber bands to hold it in place. The zip tie holding it down will transfer vibrations as well.
Once the tank is insulated better,, it might pick up some more.
