Read the whole ad....not going to bid or buy but a good bit of history to read

Medal Of Honor Empty Re: Medal Of Honor

I'm sorry but this is a shame and a travesty and the post should be pulled. Anyone having served would know that this was NOT the type of helicopter flown and while the citation was real, the helicopter shown has nothing to do with the events for Patrick Brady. Sir as I am deeply embarrassed I must acknowledge a appreciation for your post..... I am a big Fact checker and on first blush reading the e-bay ad I was not sufficiently curious enough to think it bogus.... thank you sir I will leave this here as it is a good teaching point

Medal Of Honor Empty Deepest Regrets

Post  modelbuilder49 Thu May 09, 2019 4:47 pm

Oh no!  Fred, please, I believe there is a misunderstanding!  My friend, I, in no way meant to seem like or have anyone think I was coming against your posting!!  Absolutely not!! No way!  I was commenting about the con artist, whomever he or she is for posting such a flagrant and out right lie about that helicopter.  That was not the type of helicopter flown by the, then Major Brady, nor should it have been associated with his citation and war record flying the Huey, UH-1. That Cobra model depicted in the ad is a two seater and was not, to the best of my knowledge capable of any medical evacuations during that period.  Unless the seller can certify, verify and prove  that the model was actually signed by Maj Gen Brady USA, Retired then the seller is nothing more than a fraud, a liar and a potential thief.   Anybody can write/letter someones name as is depicted but it's still not truth. I have already attempted to contact E-Bay about the matter but it's almost impossible to figure out how to report a potentially fraudulent offering.

Please, accept my regret for the misunderstanding .... I never meant to have my words go that way.

Medal Of Honor Empty Re: Medal Of Honor

Sir I did not take your post the way you think

My embarrassment is not due to you but rather my own inattention..... Not Knowing ALL the MH recipients and who they are and what they did....

I am Viet Nam era vet and aviation guy who worked a career on UH1H and AH1G/Mod/Prod/ECAS/FMC

Actually know more than one MH recipient

Possible some kid only had the Metal Cobra at the PX when the MH recipient was signing books and shaking hands.... all over the nation this goes on every year...... and the seller making this claim should know the Back story on how the model cam to BE SIGNED

My internal skeptic should have pondered a little deeper is all I was saying and I appreciate your post because it reminded my old brain to be more diligent..... the hyped and inflated price of a $13 die cast metal cobra -with signature- could so easily be counterfeited and I simply did not consider that
