Re: Guess what's hiding in there......
Thanks Chancy, but no.
I honestly don't know what it is, but I have a highly probable idea.
Here's a hint from sellers ad... Vintage gas powered C/L WW2 model airplane...NOT!
He gave no other information.
I'm going to need Manufacturer, Exact description, Displacement, and YOM.
Lucky? winner gets this Enya .60 with a Perry pump shipped post paid any where in the world.
One guess per forum member, except Chancey gets two.
Got to wait until it gets here, then we will all know. Guessing is over when it arrives probably Monday the 15th.

I should've looked closer at the head, it does have four head bolts which is Enyaish. The OS certainly has more than 4. It really is concealed so it's hard to get a good look.

Re: Guess what's hiding in there......
One BIG hint is the left-side exhaust. This is what prompted me to search and find my guess. Not too many glow-engines have a left-side exhaust.
Robert loves his Enya's.. so I decided to focus my search there. I think that he knows what he "thinks" is hiding in there. If my guess at an Enya "Typhoon" sand-cast red-head .29 (1952?) is correct.. he will have a very rare Enya engine.

I think roddie nailed it. I did have a feeling that it was an Enya, as well as the 4 head bolt thing had me convinced. And hey, he is our resident Enya expert after all.... But, I did not think it was that big by the pictures.

Hey Chancey! I know what you mean. The engine looks fairly small.. and your guess at a .09/Enya seemed accurate. The photo that Bob posted is the "seller's".. and he (or she.. ) might have a big hand! (recalling the Seinfeld-episode; Man-Hands... )
.. anyway.. the seller might actually have "small hands".. which would explain a larger-displacement engine.. (if that's what it is..)

I'm with Crank. I know I get no cred for a "back-up" guess, but just lending my support. The airframe seems way too small for the .29 and the .19 is the only other early model red head Enya I know of.

It's totally an Enya 19, but just in case it isn't, I'm guessing Taipan 19, 1967

My thought is that is the first Enya 19 made around 1950. Model number 4001 Displacement 0.19 cubic inch. It came with red anodized parts and a 3 screw front cover.

Well, the text on the books in the background of the photo is not flipped, so it's not a mirror image, but nice try
