Looking forward to your flight of this beautiful bi plane.
Thank you Friend for your words, certainly many times I wonder ... how many people in the world will be doing the same, at the same time, in their own world, inspired by passion ?? !!
I am already in the last details .... I LOVE this model!

My thoughts exactly.. (including the mischievous kitty..)
Look what she did to these Guillows rubber-powered models..
and "yes" the video of the throttled Cox Medallion was great! I'll be excited to see this airplane fly.. with "you" at the controls!
Roddie ... my great friend ... thanks for evaluating the work and my conditions as a pilot, I hope not to disappoint anyone! ...
All the models that I have assembled make me happy, because I can not choose one, I like them all and the videos clearly show their flight qualities, but this biplane is one of my favorites, I like it so much that I'm slow to entertain in covering it, because I like to look at its structure, see the Cox engine installed there, embraced by the carved wood, the smell of DOPE, an incredible, pacentera atmosphere is generated ... if paradise exists, I want it to be this one! That photo that I recently posted speaks for itself, enormous pleasure and happy to be an aeromodelist!

Re: Well, well, my first Biplane for Cox! VIDEOS!!
Here you can see what I try to explain in the drawing above, the bar-type accelerator, penetrates the F1, has behind it a carved wood that acts as a camera, makes the remains that the engine gives off after each explosion, (basically oil) is not filtered, the displacement of the acceleration bar is smooth, safe and precise, I like it a lot ... it is a model that I have sleep after dream ....
The engine works amazingly, I have never seen an engine in Argentina with this type of accelerator, I think it is something virtually unique. The sum of elements, engine and plane make me feel that it is my favorite ... it is not bad ... it needs less ...

Re: Well, well, my first Biplane for Cox! VIDEOS!!
Here I am again and I show you how this waste collector or escape relief is. Actually never was thought to be part of the engine, but a channel of discharge that as a whole simulates being part of the engine and logically stops being the escape of it.
This piece made of brass tube will be glued with epoxy and will be fixed to the fuselage, with a slight distance to the original exhaust outlet of the engine, that will allow the engine to move freely next to its base. Between the brass tube and the gas outlet of the engine, a very thin high-temperature rubber gasket can be placed, to finish sealing the gas outlet, but it is not really necessary, the engine thoroughly spitting all the waste through the tube and it will work very well.
I like it as it is, it gives a touch to my taste, beautiful!

Don't you think Maurício the high velocity air behind the prop will blow away most of the gases in the gap between the muffler and the exhaust pipe? If not a full rubber lip connecting the muffler to the pipe, at least I would place a shield in the gap to deflect the high velocity air..just my opinion sorry to shout in from the sideline...your biplane is beautiful and I cannot wait seeing its maiden flight..

WTG that works,
Stretch some silicon tube cut as shown so it raps around the exhaust port with a bit of side pressure.
Have the width of the rubber tube cut wide enough to push up against the side cheeks of the
fuselage and the exhaust. Move the header closer to exhaust port so plenty of rubber tube is
stretched around it.

Yes I also thought of a silicon block thick enough to stay compressed between the muffler and the cheek, with an oval hole punched in it.

Nice biplane Mauricio, it certainly has charm, I imagine you will also have very nice flights with it.

Dear friend, I've been thinking about it since I started cutting the first piece of wood, red, white, silver, etc. etc .... but again and again, the colors that I like a lot and that in flight look very good, are these:
Well, I've decided!

Thank you very much ... everything seems to be going the right way, it is a magical model, at least when contemplating it, it transports my imagination ... I think it will fly very well, of course I will have to check the incidents, cg, etc. but I feel that everything will be fine, I really like it.
