My COX 051 Custom
I just got it running when Jeremy was here. Wow, scary fast.... I really need a tach!
After he left, I ran 3 more tanks and all ran about the same time span. After my 3rd run, I pulled the tank and sure enough it was dry.

Re: My COX 051 Custom
Yeah man a .051 draining a tank in 30 seconds has to be turning pretty darn quick!

Re: My COX 051 Custom
- 051 Single Ring Piston
- Custom Ported Cylinder
- 5x3 Safety Tip Prop
- GlowPlugBoy Rocket Power Fuel: 24% Nitro and 17% all AAA castor oil lube
I don't know much more, as Randy can't remember about if the crank is a Killer Bee or not. The pics below you can see the custom porting .
Re: My COX 051 Custom
I may be seeing this wrong but that looks like a quad by pass cylinder!
Look at the rear of the crankshaft is the disc still circular or does it has 2 cuttings beside where the pin is?

Re: My COX 051 Custom
Looks to be a stock crank.... what RPM can it handle?
Randy said it would run 28K rpm with 50% nitro, should I be worried???

Yes.
Re: My COX 051 Custom
The ball/socket in the piston will come unglued as well as the crank pin at anything above 24K.

That thing looks awesome. Makes me want to start tampering with the cylinders...

Re: My COX 051 Custom
I ordered a Killer Bee crank from CoxInternational last night. I received the KB backplate from them last week
Re: My COX 051 Custom
Too bad the tach race is over, you could have entered that thing.

I know, but I didn't really need another Bee, so bought a used one. No regrets so far.

True but I do not need any engines but desire them.
Maybe next time I hit the shop I will pick one up.

That's nothing. You still have time to turn back.....
Re: My COX 051 Custom
Ya but if I spend any more money at Cox International, I think my wife will beat me or take it out on my computer.
