cox 4x2.5 prop?
Hi guys I had completely forgotten cox made these but an engine that recently arrive came with one on it so I am wondering did they ever sell it seperately from the plane it came on?
Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
Yes, the 4"x2.5" prop was for the L'il Stinker/Mini Stunt/Red Baron/Pennzoil Special/Red Knight Pitts.
It had a part number of #5328

Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
Thanks for that Mark that is what I was hoping to see
Now anyone know a source?
I know a guy in need of these.

Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
I don't have any, maybe keep searching ebay, or get a .020 prop from Bernie and take a fingernail clipper and trim the tips round, finish with a little sanding and polish.

Nah that would not work as these have a pitch of 2.5 but normal .020 props have a pitch of 2.
Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
Reason I want it is for the pitch it is hit the perfect prop for the application.
Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
Yes, I suppose, but to say it won't work is like saying 25% nitro won't work, only 30%.
I was a suggestion and I'm sure it would fly, you could always get the prop hot and twist a little more pitch in it, use a little more nitro, hi-comp head, smaller Spyder wire for less drag, etc., etc.

Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
These will not work on an .020 unless you use a spacer - the hole in the hub is driller for .049's.
Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
Here is another - not the 4.5D though.

So it came only with production planes? That would explain the rarity.
Re: cox 4x2.5 prop?
Mr Larry Kittinger was selling a purple 4.6 x 2.8 prop. not in stock any more or he has sold out. Don't know if this helps at all, but here is the link for his site and contact info. It's called a KT16 when it is in stock.

They are very hard to find, I use them too. Only saw them once on Ebay in the last year or so. If I see any Ill let you know.

I don't remember the thread but PV said Dewar's scotch whiskey tasted like "bunker fuel. I guess you have taste both scotch AND bunker fuel to judge.
BTW, once a thread falls off the page how may it be recalled?

Don't need it on my chest, I'm knitted already. But I could use it on my bean.
