Prop for Tee Dee .09's?

Prop for Tee Dee .09's?
I have two grey Cox 7X3.5 props, that I have been told work good for the .09.
Will a 7X4 prop work?
Thanks!

YES. Anything close to that size range should work fine.

Whether the prop "works" depends on the airplane that it is used on: weight, drag, etc.
Think of props as gears on a bicycle. All gears "work" but some gears are better than others depending on the situation.

What you say is true. I generally determine what size prop (approximately) will fly a plane, then install an engine that will swing that prop range.
The Tee Dee .09 is very comfortable swinging a 7x4 prop. Whether a 7x4 will pull a particular plane is a different question, IMHO.

Re: Prop for Tee Dee .09's?
Well put, George. I usually end up using the black Cox 7x3.5 for overall good performance. They are very hard to find these days, though. I was able to scrounge up a handful of them on the bay over several years of looking. They should last me a long time since I don't run .09s as often as other sizes. In a pinch, the readily available Master Airscrew 7x3 or 7x4 should get her flying.
