Cox Cast Backplate Question Empty Cox Cast Backplate Question

I thought I had seen before somewhere to identify what year a cast backplate was made. Backplate in question is completely bare and flat on the back. No words, no Made In U.S.A., no COX, nada. So, if someone could please refresh my memory, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you very much to the both of you. That is exactly what I was looking for. That is the thread and pictures I remember, but just could not figure out the exact thread. I was searching for a thread with 'backplate' in the title. Now I know why I couldn't find it. Thank you again.
