Information on a Cox Pee Wee .020
Good morning and " HAPPY NEW YEAR " to all here at the forum. I have a question on a Cox Pee Wee .020. Can anyone date a Cox Pee Wee .020 that has the Thimble Drome logo on the tank and only one (1) fuel vent on the top of the backplate. It has the red anodized tank and prop-plate. Thanks in advance for your help.

It maybe an engine built by the previous owner from mixed parts. According to Dan Sitter's Cox Model Engine Handbook Pee Wees carried the Thimble-Drome mark until Dec. 17 1969 but the single vent (9) appeared only in March 1978.

I can send you photos made from the relevant parts of the cited handbook though I am afraid I may thus infringe cpop rights.

I got it figured out my friend. You don't have to resend it. Thanks again for this information as it was very helpful to say the least. It answered my question.

I removed the photos from my posts but here is an eBay link where you may want to buy the handbook:

I'm thinking that's a typo, but should clarify, March '78 was the change date, not 'only' date.

Thanks, Mark, I meant "appeared first..."
