Something isn't right. Either a swapped picture or some one has an imagination. I can't see a stand alone Tee Dee .049 among his other items.
Wonder how many of the 11 bidders checked or know the difference. Still, a not to bad Black Widow.

Re: Misrepresented
If he is a pirate, he’s had to much Grog! All his other listed items have descriptions that match the item(s) with fair accuracy. He even has a item someone here wanted a while back:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-GITS-rc-model-airplane-engine-motor-r-c-gits-bros-fuel-gas-tank-cap-lid/182978093876?hash=item2a9a582334:g:GoUAAOSwz~paKd0T
The thing I noticed looking thru the items he is selling, either he or the person he got the engines from, was not a good pilot. Most of the engines have broken wood props or are attached to the bulkhead/firewall of the crashed aircraft. Ie: pee wee with bent NV.

Re: Misrepresented
Yes, some good uns, some not so.
I do like the tanked TD .051, and the Top Flight Corsair presently at $76 +$19 as I have the Sterling model and would like to compare, but I'm not going to bid either of them up.
I did find this "Made in Japan" vintage oval exhaust Red Head @ $35 MAO and offered $30 which the seller took. Asked him if he had the needle and got no response. Ok, as I have a spare.

Re: Misrepresented
Bob this is a funny thread to me
I search(ed) E-bay for a few years and was astound that some of the sales for something that was NOT as described... example Cox .010 was really a .020 or some such similar mistake
What caught my eye was how many bids despite the obvious error
Who is dumber? the seller not knowing his item--- or the bidders NOT seeing the obvious?
Not willing to run afoul for the newer E-bay Buyer protections... I have often thought to list something outrageously wrong to see if it would sell
Insanely like a typical Cox .049 with some simple cosmetic changes and some long note about the costum builder and a certification of at least 12,000 RPM on 45% N

Re: Misrepresented
Fred, you devil you!!
That ebay buyer protection prompted me to chomp on a Chinese ad for an Enya VT240 twin BIN for $22 and attested to here on these pages. What the hay I thought, why not. Ebay promptly repaid my paypal account without even waiting the allotted amount of time. They know a good hoax when they see one.

Re: Misrepresented
Bob I remember the post
of course one of the reasons E-bay works well (NOW) is the buyer protection....not always there
I do remember a day, not to distant past, when I bid on a ghost item... won...sent $75 money via PO MO...never got the CPU micro chip
E-bay NO help
post office MO NO Help
Looked up seller..... E-bay made it hard
Contacted local Kansas sheriff.... ..... convoluted process to claim interstate commerce fraud...needed E-bay to confirm claim....no going to happen
So Do I drive to Kansas and beat the crap-out of e-bay scammer? and sill not have the CPU for $75

That is a pretty nice Enya 19. Some TLC and you have a nice early example.rsv1cox wrote:Yes, some good uns, some not so.

Re: Misrepresented
Got the Enya .19 Red Head today. Poorly packed in a too narrow box with no padding in either the shipping box or the Enya box, it just rattled around, but no damage. I had asked the seller if the needle was included as the ebay ad never showed one. He never responded and needless to say it wasn't. One of those sellers with hundreds of things to sell. Not one of us.
That's ok I can find a needle but it probably won't be correct for this vintage. Thought at first it might have an early Enya plug, but I don't think so looking at it closer. Ken would know.

Re: Misrepresented
MECOA has a list of Enya parts available they recently acquired. They list a .15 UC needle and have a spray bar and needle for a .29 also. Not sure if any of these would work.

Thanks Jason, I'm looking into it. They sure do have a lot of Enya parts.
