That's just not right........ A tired, plier-marked cylinder attached using a flat-washer.. maybe.. but not a complete engine with usable parts..

Hey Andras, I would not use them that way, of course, but since they're there, I try to see the situation a bit of humor ...

It is almost as bizarre as the youtube vid on the flying rag powered by a TeeDee010..I simply believe these gems deserve a better treatment than that...maybe I see it differently because once I was yearning for having one and before the Wall and Iron Curtain fell it was a matter of exceptionally good luck for us in my part of the world to get one..

I understand you perfectly Andras, what happens is that we are sharing an international forum where life situations are different and everyone has their experience.
There are things that cost more, others less and that is where the emotional comes into play and that is not measured in $!
More than 7 months ago I expect some spare parts ... and they have not arrived yet, so you do not know what the wait is worth ... it's like that, when the pieces arrive, for me they will have a very different value maybe compared to the one that buy and in 2 days you have it in your home .... I think everything is respectable just because we are sharing experiences from around the world.
I share with you the issue of a Cox flying with a rag, is another thing that would not do, in this video that I leave, this man seems to have a great time, but at minute 0:13 the engine turns and looks down and there goes and star .... that blow, that treatment hurts me ... I can not help it.

Look at this picture Andras, a friend found this engine in the trash ... look at it in detail, I rescue him, he thought about me and said, I imagine that you can do something with the ... love, and a lot of love ...
..then I turned it into this:
then, with the cylinder restored, start an extra motor! and it works wonders! .... unfortunately the needle could not recover it, but at least try! ...

Unbelievable Mauricio, nice job, congratulations....
(I wish I could also find such COX gems in desolate places here, that I would also love to give a new life.... )

Sorry, I did not intend to cause distress.
MauricioB, thanks for adding the propellers and trying to cheer Balogh up! Also, nice job on the resurrection of the poor looking Babe Bee.

Friend, first of all thank you for sharing the photo !, I know that You have done this with the best intention, Andras (Balogh), I understand, that also takes it that way, there is simply a feeling that is difficult to handle depending on the circumstances.
The author of the photo, I feel that he has also tried to express good taste, in short, we are all here for mutual respect and respect and affection for the Cox brand, no one in his healthy jucio would try to offend another !.
Thank you for evaluating my restoration work .... seeing the result of that engine so abused (which my friend found in the trash) I felt more admiration for the Cox engines, I myself could not believe how well it worked after the work done of restoration !.
A big hug for you ...... and do not feel bad, please, we are all here because we do well!

No problem Marleysky I just wanted to conclude I would not use my engine for that purpose.

Re: New use for old engines
I'm not seeing a problem here. The fellow obviously has good taste in engines featuring Veco, OS, Enya, etc. in his collection yet he put's the Cox .049's proudly out front and in a functioning manner. I may copy it somehow. Only mine would be matching .049's nicely restored with some sort of a propeller pull up front.
Makes what I did here look clumsy and useless.
