Re: It's a bumper crop!
Glad you got a crop. all (800+) of my peaches were hit with 2 nights of 20 degrees, so no crop! I've not tried the early elberta, but the elbertas I grow are some of the best for size and flavor. You might get a better size if you thinned them to about one peach every 6-8" when they are the size of a nickle.
Anyway, just a little envious, I've lost crops three out of the last five years. I'm sure you will enjoy those peaches!

Yeah I snuck that in there just for you Ken. 208K and still going strong. Haven't swapped the 360 in yet.
Give me a month and I'll be sick of those peaches...

Sorry about the bad luck! That would make me furious. Had a late frost 2 yrs ago. So I feel your pain.
Thanks for the advice, lesson learned. If you look close you can see the prongs I used to support the overloaded branches. I have a hard time with thinning, I always think about an infestation or a frost. A wise arborist probably thins though.
Strange thing this tree, Elbertas are suppose to have a yellow flesh yet these are more white. They taste amazing though so I am not complaining.
