Rough Babe Bee with Small Diameter Cylinder & Head Assembly
I won this of eBay a little while ago (last year).
It is a little rough but it does seem like it should run. It has a single bypass small diameter Space Bug Jr. cylinder and head. As you can see, someone used a pliers to grip the head and cylinder. The head glows. It has "ok" compression, it could be worse but it could be better. I'm going to run it with the piston that is in it just to see what is gets for RPMs and then I'm going to drop a different piston in it that has a very good fit in the cylinder to see if the RPMs is any better. It has one of its filler tubes broken off but that doesn't affect anything performance wise. It appears to have a dent in the crankcase but there is no dent visible from the inside of the case. I'll try to get a video of it when I start it up sometime this weekend.
Probably overpaid a little, Babe Bees usually go for around $12, but the shipping was cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/150724581003?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Glad to hear you got it and our suspicions were correct.
Hope it makes a good runner and can't wait for the video.

Mr. Ron Cribbs, (cribbs74) can buy the item for you, then mail it to you. A very generous offer.
Re: Rough Babe Bee with Small Diameter Cylinder & Head Assembly
Okay, I (somewhat) ran the engine today. It ran for 30 seconds or so then it slowly slowed down until it stopped. It had no compression until it cooled down (cylinder must have expanded). The engine already had a poor piston and cylinder fit, I do have a piston that fits the cylinder perfectly but I wanted to run it with the original one first. I tried to get a video of it but I stopped the video right when it was slowing down (to play with the needle) the video is only 3 seconds long, I'll rerecord it once I replace the piston and get it going again.

But seriously can't wait for the real deal!
Re: Rough Babe Bee with Small Diameter Cylinder & Head Assembly
I noticed that regular cylinders fit my space bug jr. Maybe that is how this one came to be.

Yes we figured it was most likely the only replacement parts the user had.

I propose a "Wall of Shame" featuring pictures of abused Cox engines. The one shown would be a good candidate.

That's what I figured too. I remember reading (probably on RCU) that after Cox quit carrying the #302 heads, modelers had to replace their cylinders with ones off later engines or ones bought as parts. I also read somewhere that people sometimes find Space Bug Jrs with twin bypass normal dia. cylinders meaning someone replaced that cylinder with one from a Babe Bee sometime down the line for more power as the Space Bug Jr had a single bypass cylinder.

How well does the driveplate fit?
Could it be a little less sloppy?

In that case, you may have to run it rich, (and cool) for several minutes, wind it up, then quickly slow it down. It feels as loose as my other crankcase assemblies. When I flipped it over right after it stopped, it was loose and had no compression, you could hear the cylinder leaking every time you turned it over (sounds like a loose glow head). That "loose" moment only lasted until the cylinder cooled down. I dropped a good fitting piston in it this time, see if that fixes the issue...

Yeah that is a bad PL fit.
