P-40 resto

P-40 resto
Well...the P-40 is on its way to completion but still missing one part: the gunsight.
Listed as part of assembly 5500-7 in the Cox parts catalog it once was available but it is not widely spread anymore I guess.
Is there someone who can provide me with photos, measurements or even a spare?

Looking good! Is the Camouflage tail original? Here's a newer one for sale on the bay:

Re: P-40 resto
Nice job on the p-40, i love to see the old toys get a second life.
It's gonna be tuff to find the gun sight, I bet you could find a beige spray paint at walmart or home depot that would be close for the (70's) horizontal stab, not full proof, but for display, why not.

Good luck with your search. Antennas and gun sights are always vulnerable.
400 models to be auctioned. Ought to make a lot of people happy.

That gun sight would be super easy to duplicate.
