I will not list all of them...but MOST memorable for me is/was Super Dave

But I have to note Duke has been absent for a few weeks too many...

Who are YOU missing on the CEF?

BTW Bernie is conspicuously absent recently also....just sayin

I miss Brenda the gasket lady.  She saved me months back with McCoy head and case gaskets.  Also the Kentucky/Virginia? cabin dweller lady, she had a nice snow cabin picture.

I'm only active here on CEF. I understand Phred's concerns. I always hope that our members who haven't checked-in, in a while are ok. Ron Cribbs noticed when I was delinquent in posting a while back.. and PM'd me.. asking how I was doing. I didn't realize it at the time.. but really appreciated him noticing.. and reaching-out to me.

I'm not sure what happened to SuperDave. I think he posted a goodbye one day, that he was done with the forum.

There's a number of members that disappeared I wonder about. Indra (nitroairplane), GermanBeez, PV Pilot, John Goddard, Travis (WingingIt74)... the list could go on.

When folks go MIA for any length of time I usually post them a PM to make sure all is well. I don't do this for "pop tarts" (those that pop in post once and pop out) just regulars that suddenly disappear. What I find usually is that life has interfered or interests have changed. Such is life.

I personally have been suffering from forum burnout, so I haven't been posting as much. Also been spending more time on cars, home and work. I imagine others are in the same boat.

As a moderator I still try and visit at least once a day wether I post anything or not.

Ron... You, Rusty and Travis are moderators here. We haven't heard much from Travis lately either. I wonder how he's doing?

I know that people get busy with other stuff. CEF has been a staple with me for the last three years. Believe it or not; it's been my sanctuary when life throws me curve-balls. I can always count on one of you people to comment on one of my posts; even if it's a ridiculous notion. I'll admit, I've had many.

The "view unanswered-posts" button should be pressed occasionally.. and the thread; read/considered for a comment.. even if you can't give particular advice. An acknowledgement in some way, shape or form.. can encourage the OP... to re-think their idea.. and possibly expand upon it.

The CEF model forum has been praised for its' "cordiality".. and non-judgmental attitude. I'm proud to belong.

yep, i loved o'l super dave, some times his comments were often kinda off the wall and other times right on the money. I hope it wasn't a health issue and we'll hear from him again.

I know i've had other hobbies (disc golf) get in the way and during summer months not post for a while, but gas power model airplanes have been with me for a half a century now!!!!!
