I bought this for $30 at a swap meet after a free flight contest Saturday. He also had two gold MKll's someone else grabbed before me. My understanding is the gold MKll's would shake a free flight model to bits, so I'm very happy to have my first .15 Tee Dee. Hope to clean it up and run it this weekend. $30!!!! I've always wanted one, but wouldn't pay the high prices.

Great find Duke! I used to fly with a guy who had one of those on a plane. What impressed me is how LOUD it was!

Nice! I got mine for free but it was not in such a great shape. I have already spent more than 30€ on it, and the cylinder is still scratched (only on the outside fortunately). The free engines always seem to be most expensive.

Not sure who told you a MKII is a shaker, the run as smooth as a Special or any other Cox .15
The only thing different on the MKII is the 3 bypass ports and the single side exhaust.

Wow! Great deal on a very nice looking engine, that would easily fetch a C note on eBay, probably more!

Be sure to check the ball socket on the piston. First version TD 15 used the ball socket piston. If it's loose request the 15 reset tool from the last person who used it. Good find. Too bad you missed out on the Mk IIs as they are a sweet running engine.

Thanks guys. I really like the new engine. Most of the free flight guys were telling me about the mkll's shaking so bad. I don't personally know. Anyone have a tear down video for the 15 tee Dee?

I don't know of a video but your engine will come apart the same way as a .049/051 to .09 Tee Dee or Medallion. Parts are more difficult to find so be careful
