My favorite wings and engines
I thought I would share with you this to show that 2 hobbies combine easily even logistically if both are based on small equipment.
Ready to go fully equipped...
Ready to fly ...

Mark,
exactly!! It was 40+ years ago that I did the same thing...riding scooters (though less sophisticated than this tiny Honda) and flew C/L planes (now R/C planes, all powered by COX)...I almost feel like 40 years ago...except the stiff joints and bones I have in the morning ...(and it won't be long before I may need pampers again.. )

Re: My favorite wings and engines
During my teens and early years of C L flying the park/base ball field, school yard--- was some many(15) blocks from my parents house
I often got home from school, too rapidly did my homework, and rushed outside to join my friends playing airplane
This was done with the motive of a Huffy 3 Speed bicycle, front basket, rear fender cargo holder, and back pack to which two 36" WS mongoose slow combat planes were strapped
Later I managed the same lash up from the seat of a Raleigh 10 Speed, no front basket
Several of my friends arrived on the back of El Taco or Rupp Mini bikes (forbidden to me)
First car was about time I was learning about what girls had to offer and CL flying got back seated...or was it the girl....grin

Re: My favorite wings and engines
No hauling models here , other than across the street to the ball field (at the park) where I lived in town // I pitted about as much as I got to fly my Dad and a pilot up the street flew and did some dog fighting with Black Hawk models . Went by there not long ago and there was no ball playing for sure tennis fence nets all been took down , some small children toy to play on but nothing for the teens ! That's way too bad for them makes me want to go there and fly something ((( but they would probably put me in Jail Eric ( glad I am in the Country )
