Happy Independence Day 4th_of10

Going to have a fish fry, family is supposed to show up (we'll see). No fireworks this year, not unless the cousins bring some (which they have in the past...all illegal stuff). The flint holder in the breech block of my cannon broke the second I tried to set it off yesterday...dammit. So now I'm working on fitting some points in the breech block that will be connected to a piezoelectric igniter from a lighter.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY of the FIRST BREXIT !!!!!!!!!!!!

If the storms hold off, I may put the Lazy Bee's new tail in harm's way by sending it out to recon my neighbors over in the subdivision as they begin to light off their ordinance!

They've been cutting loose for four days now, starting way before darkness even with the heavy stuff, so I figure the artillery will really take off tonight !!!

Everyone please be careful, have fun, and keep all the digits attached !!!

YaaHooo, Happy Independence Day to everyone!  Jason, I really like your musical selections....8 track no less.  Not sure if black power smoke is part of what the local clean air monitors measure, but if they do...we are gonna be Off the charts!!  Downtown Grand Rapids had the Devos Family fireworks display, Saturday night, the biggest & best display EVER. 25 minutes of continuous computer controlled sparks, explosions and blossoms shooting stars  to wow the crowds of on lookers. We watched from a house on the riverbank about a mile upriver of downtown. Last night it was volleys of shock and awe between the Boat & Canoe Club on the West Bank and the  VFW hall on the east side.  You could close your eyes and just imagine that we were really a war with someone. Could have been the Hatfields and the McCoys. With the relaxed regulations on fireworks, and the tent sales at every empty parking lot, anyone with enough money could finance their very own display of loud sparks and aireal bombs. It's no longer just sparklers and smoke bombs. Fun to watch, till someone looses a finger or hand. Fireworks

Just relaxing here not much to do around my place, set off some water dynamite (A brand of firecracker) but thats about it. Though about putting up my chroma camera quad to peek over the tops of the trees and watch the shenanigans toward Byron and such but decided against it due to some over critical neighbors still had fun though glad everyone is having a great fourth! Be safe and have fun! (Bandit)

Guess the folks across the valley all headed into town for the big fireworks on the river... not much racket over there. Still had a nice evening, making laps with the Lazy Bee and 2 Meter B.O.T.

Hope everybody had a great 4th !!!
