NIB Enya .049-II TV conversion
Hi guys. My daughter is 4 and getting pretty good at flying CL. I haven't had her take off or land, but she flys by herself. She wants quiet engines, but likes 1/2A size planes. As we all know mufflers and 049's is not the most common thing in the world. We came across this NIB enya 049 with the muffler. It's an RC carb, but i found the venturi and nva on the bay. Let's see if pics work for me now.

Hi there Dane. Not sure what you are up to, but you cannot direct upload to the site here like SH. Most use a third party image hosting site. I believe the following has ties to this site somehow. I use it and I like it a lot actually. You could make an account and try it out if you like.

If you already knew this, please disregard my crazy message.
If you attempt this hosting site the link in red is the one I use successfully here.
Might look familiar as it was your Medallion...

It's been over two weeks since you joined so you should have no proplem posting pictures. There is a thread on how to use the host your picture function. Just click on that icon, browse and select your picture by double clicking on it, hit host it, wait for it to fill on the url line, then copy and paste into your text.
Yep, works
Or you can sign up at photobucket and use their service free.

Firstly, glad you are able to now load pictures, and have figured it out. Secondly, that is a neat little engine there. I especially like the design of the venturi(?). Kind of 'straight forward' so to speak.

Ron, I've moved like three times this last year, and i lost my scale. It feels heavy but it's going in a plane that needed a lot of nose weight. I'll get pics up of the plane

Re: NIB Enya .049-II TV conversion
In my notes I have it at 63g (=2.2 oz) for the engine plus 19g (=0.7 oz) for the muffler, so a little more than the Cox .05RC @75 grams (≈2.6 oz).
The carb is more of a two speed carb, you could probably just wire it in a fixed position instead.

Looks like a smoke stack in the front but it will do the job I am sure , but why not a Cox or just don't have one with a muffler system on it .. I have never ran one that way but a few here do in other country's that don't like the screaming of the Bee . Good to hear you have an interested daughter in the pack flying . getback

Well, to the question of why this and not a Cox was really just right time, not so happy place i suppose. The engine i got from the estate sale of a dear friend who passed away, Art Lies. I wanted a few things to remember him by. I got several engines that were relatively unique and a nice plane he built with his AMA number on it. A nobler. Turns out my daughter claimed this engine because of the muffler. So I'm happy to see her fly an engine that belonged to my friend Art.
Thanks for the responses guys. I'll get a video of Daviny flying it up soon

I have no problem with direct posting of pictures from my PC or iMac. The iPad is very different. Just follow the directions and there they are.
One of my projects:
select file on PC, host it, copy image from small window, paste image in posting window, add comments. done.

Dane, the Enya .049 and OS Pet .061 have always had a natural curiosity in me, because they were different. I don't know the performance of the Enya, but its power is similar to the Cox Medallion after reviewing Peter Chinn's article on Sceptreflight. (Power output on the Medallion RC version was slightly reduced due to sub-piston induction recirculating exhaust gases due to the exhaust throttle. Taking Peter's 0.065 HP x 25% increased power removing the throttle gave 0.08 HP, same as the Enya standard.) It's weight without silencer according to my Enya Instructions is 2.0 oz, 2.2 oz for the TV. Power output is 0.08 HP, 0.07 HP for the TV. RPM is 9k-16k, 2.5k-16k for the TV. Suggested props are 5.5-6x3 for UC, 6x3 for FF and RC. This is not bad for an engine that uses a standard glow plug.
Yes, please post a video.
Attached are the Enya Instructions that includes this engine.
